Have you written a play? Or do you have an idea for a performance?  

 

Svenska Teatern’s dramaturgy department plans the theatre’s repertoire and other events held at the theatre. We gladly accept all kinds of proposals, and process all submissions in due course. 

We accept: 

• Plays 

• Performance concepts 

• Proposals for guest productions and other events 
   

Please find instructions below on how to submit your proposal.  

Plays & performance concepts  

Please send your submission to dramaturgiatet@svenskateatern.fi. Briefly present (no more than half a page):  

• Yourself or your group 

• A synopsis or equivalent description of the main contents of your idea 

• The main themes 

• Why you believe this particular play/project is of importance right now 

• Why you believe this particular play/project would be suited for Svenska Teatern 

Please attach any scripts as a PDF-file to your email. If you are submitting a script of your own we kindly ask you to include the following information in the attachment. 

• The title (or working title) of the play 

• Your name and, if applicable, the name of your agent 

• A list of all characters featured in the play 

• A short summary of the plot (no more than ¼ of a page) 

• Production history (Are you submitting an early draft or has the play already been performed elsewhere?)  

 

Guest productions & other events 

Please send your submission to dramaturgiatet@svenskateatern.fi. Briefly present (no more than half a page):  

• Your group, company or organisation 

• A synopsis or equivalent description of the main contents of your idea 

• The main themes 

• Why you believe this particular play/project is of importance right now

• Why you believe this particular play/project would be suited for Svenska Teatern
